
There are now Walk-In Clinics available Tuesdays and Thursdays 4.30pm to 5.00pm for this vaccine.
You are entitled to a Free Flu Vaccine if:
- Aged 65 years and older
- A healthcare worker
- Pregnant
- Living in Long-term care facility
- In regular contact with pigs, poultry or waterfowl
- Chronic heart disease, including acute coronary syndrome
- Chronic liver disease
- Chronic kidney failure
- Chronic respiratory disease, including COPD, cystic fibrosis, moderate or severe asthma
- Diabetes
- Down Syndrome
- A BMI over 40
- Immunosuppressed due to disease or treatment
- Children with a moderate to severe neurodevelopmental disorder such as cerebral palsy.
- Any condition that can compromise respiratory function, like spinal cord injury, seizure disorder or other neuromuscular disorder.
- Free flu vaccines will be offered to carer's or household contacts of people who have a condition listed above.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS AND WOULD LIKE A FLU VACCINE, PLEASE RING THE SURGERY TO ORGANISE SAME. THERE WILL BE A CHARGE FOR THIS.
PLEASE WEAR A SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT/BLOUSE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.
FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN IN THE SURGERY.
YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED PATIENT OF THE PRACTICE TO AVAIL OF THIS SERVICE.
